Hotel Mandarin Oriental, Paris (Paris, France)

This hotel generally receives outstanding reviews, with guests using hyperbolic phrases to describe it like “Heaven on Earth”. They loved the Oriental inspired decor and art. Guests enjoyed the hotel's beautiful terrace where they could sip a glass of wine. They also appreciated the luxury materials that went into the lobby, common areas, and guestrooms, such as marble floors and silk hangings.

Previous guests felt that the location of Mandarin Oriental Paris couldn't be better. It's right next to rows of shops selling the height of couture Paris fashion. It's also close by The Louve, The Siene, The Jardin des Tuileries, and The Eiffel Tower.

It should have been no real surprise to guests that the hotel's fine dining restaurant, Sur Mesure, is worthy of its Michelin Star. Still, guests were blown away by their experience. They found the food to be delicious, and served in surprisingly ample portions. Chef Thierry Marx has crafted a menu that turns dining into a full sensory experience.

Guests generally found all the staff at Mandarin Oriental Paris to be very courteous, but a few had problems with consistency in their service. They complained of issues such as repeatedly having to remind the staff of their requests, not receiving housekeeping service everyday, and not being made aware of certain hotel amenities until it was nearly too late to take advantage of them. Many expressed that these sort of small problems would be forgivable at a different establishment, but that they expected a higher standard of service from a 5 star hotel they paid high rates to stay at.

While some of the rooms feature lovely views of the Eiffel Tower, others leave something to be desired.

A few people driving larger vehicles had some trouble reaching the hotel as the road out front is quite narrow.
