Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location close to highway and amenities.
Located just off of the Trans-Canada Highway on the outskirts of Victoria, and with Florence Lake just a short five minute walk away, this is a great place to stop over on a road trip or to spend a few days by the water.
positive:
Top notch service from all the cheerful staff.
You’ll be treated like a valued guest throughout your stay, the staff really make an effort to help you enjoy your time at this hotel. Any issues with your room will be fixed immediately, and all your requests will be dealt with politely.
positive:
Enjoy comfortable beds and clean rooms.
This place certainly gets the important things right, with large comfy beds that help you get off to a good night’s sleep. The bright and airy rooms are also kept spotless by the efficient housekeeping staff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Soundproofing here is pretty much non-existent.
The management here seem to be doing nothing about is the poor soundproofing between the rooms. It’s easy to hear your neighbour talking or people chatting out in the hallway, and this can be irritating when you’re trying to get an early night.
negative:
The hotel building is old and poorly maintained.
The hotel building has been around for many years already, renovated a whole bunch of times throughout its life, and now it can’t cover up its age anymore. Little is being done to maintain this old hotel and it's looking rather shabby.
negative:
This place is overpriced for what you get.
Room rates here are far from cheap but you don’t really get that much for your cash. The facilities are sparse and not always available to use. You could probably do better for your money in Victoria, so consider other hotels for a better deal.
