About Holland Guest House

This laid-back guest house on the 15th floor (Block D) of the ever-popular Chungking Mansions apartment building is set on buzzing Nathan Road, right in the heart of lively Tsim Sha Tsui. As well as its enviable location, Holland Guest House boasts free Wi-Fi and 24-hour staff service.

Compact accommodations with Spartan decor feature mini-fridges, microwaves and flat-screen TVs with cable channels. Some rooms provide laptop-sized safes, hairdryers and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Luggage storage, ticket/tour assistance and currency exchange services are on hand. A lift serves all floors.

This guesthouse does not provide any in-house dining options. However, there are plenty of eateries within this vast commercial building, including the popular (and alcohol-licensed) “Delhi Club” restaurant on the third floor of Block D.

Holland Guest House is just across the street from Exit E of Tsim Sha Tsui metro station and about seven minutes’ walk from Victoria Harbour.

Positive Reviews

Handy location is a big draw

A significant number of travellers who've stayed here have suggested the hotel's location is far and away its most impressive feature. As well as the actual setting (right on lively Nathan Road), guests loved having Tsim Sha Tsui metro station so close by and being able to walk to Victoria Harbour in less than ten minutes.

Industrious owner makes a lot of effort

It has been noted that the guy who owns this guesthouse is a very friendly and proactive sort who frequently goes out of his way to ensure visitors enjoy a positive holiday experience.

Property is spick-and-span throughout

Many guests have been impressed by the overall standards of cleanliness maintained throughout this guesthouse. Some travellers have suggested that the owner may have an obsession with cleaning as even the walls and the exterior windows seem persistently pristine.

Negative Reviews

Lift is hardly fit for purpose

A great many travellers have complained about the small and achingly slow lift which serves Block D. Suffice to say, this does not help make a stay on the 15th floor particularly appealing.

Guest bathrooms are ludicrously small

It is fair to say very few guests have been won over by the amount of square footage the guest rooms here afford. Some couples have said there isn't even enough room to stand up side-by-side with a partner at the same time. The bathrooms are also miniscule; so small in fact that the shower rests over the toilet.

Foyer area can feel a little intimidating

The foyer area of Chungking Mansions has long been a popular place for touts to congregate. Many first-time visitors have said they felt somewhat intimidated by the rather abrupt and insistent manner of the touts, especially when there are a lot of them.
