Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

This hotel is on a par with many others of a similar rating, but it's the Club Lounge that really sets it apart. The staff are incredibly welcoming and will remember you by name. You can enjoy breakfast or just watch some TV but either way, it's well worth the upgrade.

The food in the restaurant is freshly made and delicious. There's a great variety on the menu, and you won't need to eat the same breakfast day after day. It's a great bonus to have such nice meals available in-house, and even better that room service is 24-hour.

No matter where you are in the hotel or what amenity you are making use of, you'll find that the Sheraton outdoes itself. You'll be hard pressed to find any maintenance problems throughout your stay and even if you do; they will be dealt with immediately.

Even if you arrive late in the day, you may find that there is a queue to check-in. This is not ideal, and it seems that the staff are a little overwhelmed when large crowds arrive. In a five-star hotel, there should be a better process in place for getting things done quickly.

Aside from the Club Lounge staff, many of the people that work here seem uninterested in their jobs. They will get through their work, but if you have any requests, these may take some time. Better customer service would make this place almost perfect.
