Positive Reviews
positive:
Location couldn't be better.
Five minutes from downtown Victoria and just a block away from the Inner Harbour, The Oswego is about as conveniently located as it's possible to be in this district. The fact that the passenger and vehicle ferry services to and from the US are also very close by is the cherry on the cake.
positive:
High-quality accommodations.
As well as being very stylish and contemporary, The Oswego's surprisingly spacious suites are also highly functional. The well-equipped kitchen areas are a particular highlight, as are the large windows which proffer generous views from the seventh floor and above.
positive:
In-room spa services are a decadent treat.
How often do you get to indulge in a Swedish Massage or a Luxury Mudd Wrap in the relaxing confines of your hotel room (or perhaps even your terrace if you've upgraded). Go on, treat yourself - you won't be disappointed!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Sofa beds aren't the best.
Numerous guests have said less than complementary things about the comfort of the sofa beds in the guest suites. If you're planning on staying here as part of a group then you may want to keep this in mind.
negative:
Intermittent Wi-Fi.
The Oswego's wireless Internet has an unwelcome habit of dropping off. Needless to say, this can be quite irritating, especially if you're someone who needs to spend a lot of time onlone.
negative:
But that's about it..
Once you put the suspect sofa beds and intermittent Internet to one side, you're left with a hotel that is actually -- most of the time -- rather accomplished at delivering highly enjoyable vacation experiences.
