Review summary
Summarized by AI from 100+ reviews
This historic inn, a charming 200-year-old farmhouse, offers a quintessential New England experience, making it a memorable destination for guests. Its signature feature is the abundance of cozy common areas and its prime location, which makes it an ideal base for skiers, cyclists, and sightseers exploring the Mad River Valley. The inn cultivates a warm, home-like atmosphere, appealing to couples seeking a romantic getaway and families looking for a comfortable and convenient base for outdoor adventures. While many guests praise the inn's cleanliness and comfortable accommodations, some recent reviews suggest a decline in overall quality and hospitality under new ownership. To make the most of your stay, guests recommend utilizing the inviting public spaces and being prepared for a more self-sufficient experience, particularly regarding check-in and breakfast.
