This family-friendly hotel is just a short drive from Woodland Park Zoo. Each of the 169 rooms is air-conditioned and contain amenities such as a coffee/tea maker, a refrigerator and a microwave. In-room entertainment consists of an iPod docking station, complimentary wireless Internet access and a flat-panel TV with access to cable channels and premium movies. Nexus features an outdoor pool, laundry facilities, luggage storage and ticket/tour assistance. The members of staff are fluent in Chinese, Korean, Spanish, English and Arabic. The members of staff are very proficient and welcoming. The office staff are multilingual, friendly and know how to handle the guests in a professional manner. They always seem eager to help and ensure your stay to be as comfortable as possible. They do check-in and check-out processes in a quick and in a well-organized way.
The hotel offers guests a complimentary buffet breakfast. Majority of the guests were very pleased by the breakfast menu as the dishes were skilfully prepared and there was a wide selection when it came to the hot dishes.
Guestrooms are spacious, warm and very clean. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable and the bathrooms are well maintained. The kitchens are quite well equipped and have a microwave, refrigerators and kettle among other appliances.
A few guests were disturbed by the damp and oppressive smell in the hotel's bathrooms. The bathroom towels absorbed the bad odour rendering them almost unusable if you had a sensitive nose.
A few guests felt that the hotel's wireless internet connection had very poor strength. The slow speeds are mostly experienced during nighttimes when the number of users increases. Those affected were frustrated because the signal was prone to drop as one moved from room to room.
