Howard Johnson by Wyndham Appleton

The hotel presents a stark contrast, with many guests noting its recently remodeled rooms as a positive feature, standing out against the generally dated and often unkempt appearance of its common areas and exterior. While some guests found their rooms to be clean and equipped with a comfortable bed, a significant number reported issues with overall cleanliness and pervasive unpleasant odors throughout the property. Feedback on staff and service is also mixed, with instances of both helpfulness and unresponsiveness. The hotel frequently disappoints guests by advertising amenities like a pool and hot tub that are consistently unavailable. This establishment is best suited for budget-conscious travelers seeking a basic, affordable place to sleep, or those who prioritize a comfortable bed over extensive on-site facilities. To ensure a more comfortable stay, guests should be prepared for limited amenities and a very basic breakfast, and consider bringing your own toiletries or snacks.
